LCH is working alongside TMACC to create a solution for the transportation disparities in our community. We are completing a survey that would change the SCCOT bus route in our area, ultimately affecting the route in all three of our locations. Many of our patients have expressed concerns with not having the adequate transportation needs to receive basic health care and with this change we hope they can utilize more services they may not be aware of. LCH is also in need of volunteers interested in enrolling our patients in our patient portal. They will set base in each of our locations and enroll patients as they arrive for their medical appointments. In order for patients to be enrolled in our portal they require a valid email address; volunteers may need to assist patients in creating an email if one is not available.
We are in need of bilingual volunteers as many of our patients speak Spanish.
