United Way Community Update

Congratulations to the 2025 Leadership Chester County Class

We proudly announce and congratulate the 2025 graduating class of Leadership Chester County (LCC). This leadership development initiative nurtures and empowers emerging leaders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact in their communities.

For over two decades, LCC has been instrumental in bringing business insight to the boardrooms of nonprofits across the region. Administered and facilitated by Chester County United Way, in partnership with West Chester University and Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, the program has produced 608 graduates over its 24-year history. Additionally, 146 sponsors and 436 nonprofits have benefited from LCC graduates serving on their boards or as staff.

As we honor the 2025 graduates, we are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 class of Leadership Chester County. To apply or learn more about the application process, click here, or contact Kelly Cockshaw, Director of Leadership & Innovation, at 610.429.9400 x4107.

Deadline Approaching for the Mobile Home Tax Reassessment Program – Last chance to apply is July 18

In partnership with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, we are offering assistance to mobile home owners in Chester County to file for property tax reassessment appeals. Thanks to generous donors, the fees are 100% paid for on behalf of the homeowners in the program.

Since 2019, this program has helped:

  • 1,052 homeowners successfully lower their assessments
  • Reduce assessed values by nearly 66% (from $35 million to $11.8 million)
  • Save each home owner an average of $882 per year
  • Prevent $10 million in unnecessary taxes over 10 years

If you or someone you know owns a mobile home, fill out the 2025 form, or contact Amanda Blevins at 610.429.9400 ext. 4115.

Have you already participated? Help your neighbors save, too! Refer a neighbor to the program, and you’ll receive a $15 Visa gift card as a thank you. To learn more, click here.
