Help Us Celebrate 2-1-1 Day
You’ve heard of 9-1-1 and 4-1-1, but do you know 2-1-1? 2-1-1 Homeless Coordinated Entry Call Center is part of the national 2-1-1 Call Centers initiative that seeks to provide an easy-to-remember telephone number, chat, text, and a web resource for finding health and human services – for everyday needs and in crisis situations. Help us share awareness of this amazing program by celebrating 2-1-1 Day, February 11, 2020.
In partnership with Decade to Doorways and the County’s Department of Community Development, 2-1-1 Homeless Coordinated Entry Call Center provides a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week information service as well as intake services from 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The 2-1-1 service can be accessed in both English and Spanish, and serves those who are hearing impaired via a 7-1-1 relay service that calls 2-1-1.

Mobile Home Tax Reassessment Project
“It’s the difference between survival or not,” said Stephanie Miller, Senior Director of Community Impact Strategies at the United Way of Chester County.
A small local reassessment project came to the attention of United Way of Chester County who, after learning more about the issue, were determined to help this population and focus the reassessments on two specific neighborhoods as a pilot endeavor. After a successful pilot, United Way of Chester County has partnered with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania to continue this important work and scale it to assist all mobile home owners in Chester County who may be in a similar situation. Our goal is to scale the project to reach 1,000 more mobile home owners in Chester County who may be in a similar situation. Help us help families in Chester County stay warm this winter.
Winter is here, and as harsh as it may be for many of us, there are others right here in Chester County that are unable to escape these conditions, even in their own homes. Your support can help bring better roofs, windows and heating systems to those in need.
All donations are used to fund home projects by local charities that specialize in home repairs for Chester County residents.Since 2005, United Way of Chester County has helped many local families through the Share the Warmth program – helping our neighbors make home repairs before the most brutal months of the year come upon us. Since its inception, the Share the Warmth program has provided 537 Chester County families with over $950,000 in home repairs and winterization projects.
