2019 COATESVILLE BACK TO SCHOOL EVENT
United Way of Chester County was happy to be part of the effort to provide back packs and school supplies for the Coatesville Back to School Event on August 2nd at Scott Middle School. About 1200 backpacks were distributed to local children and families. Many thanks to corporate partners RKL LLP, Citadel and Sungard Availability Services who participated through United Way.

CTDI COATESVILLE FINISHES THE YEAR IN RECORD FASHION
The group from the CTDI Coatesville facility held their annual United Way fundraising drive in late June, hitting record numbers for their campaign! CTDI, one of the longest running supporters of United Way of Chester County, increased the number of employee donors from the Coatesville facility as well as hit an all-time fundraising high for the site, raising over $20,000!
Many thanks to the dedicated campaign volunteers from CTDI that work hard on behalf of United Way each and every year, and help us fight for the education, health and financial stability of every resident of Chester County.
Make a lasting impact in Chester County through Leadership Chester County. LCC is currently accepting applications for it's 19th class which educates people interested in serving on a non-profit board, introducing them to human service needs in Chester County and how business acumen can sustain nonprofit agencies to capably respond.

ALICE IN PENNSYLVANIA: A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP STUDY
ALICE is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed and focuses on working families that earn more than the federal poverty level but less than the basic cost of living. The ALICE Study of Pennsylvania provides a comprehensive measure of financial hardship across our state. This data will help United Way of Chester County and all United Way's across the state focus on developing solutions within our communities to best serve these residents.

In Chester County, the combined number of households that live below the ALICE threshold or below the federal poverty level is 27%-that is more than one out of every 4 households in Chester County.
UNITED WAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOCUSES ON FINDING GRANTS
United Way of Chester County is committed to building the capacity of Chester County non-profits. Through our workshop series, we recently hosted the Chester County Library who presented to over 45 local non-profits on how to research and connect with potential funders through the Foundation Directory Online Database.
