UNITED WAY AND EXTON SQUARE MALL BRING HOLIDAY SPIRIT TO LOCAL FAMILIES

United Way of Chester County continued their annual holiday tradition of Breakfast With Santa, a partnership event sponsored by Exton Square Mall, on Saturday, December 12th, 2009. Children and families from West Chester Area Day Care Center enjoyed a private breakfast with Santa, visited with elves, and celebrated this wonderful holiday season in a warm, safe, child-friendly environment. Each child had their picture taken with Santa and received a gift bag of goodies courtesy of Exton Square Mall.

Each year United Way of Chester County and the Exton Square Mall partner for this wonderful event. Exton Square also offers signage and window display space for United Way exposure and is a valuable year-round partner in helping United Way advance the common good. United Way of Chester County Board Chairman Steve Shihadeh expresses the value of such a partnership. “The Exton Square Mall serves many different communities in Chester County so a partnership with them is a natural extension for us. It allows United Way a means to promote our work and reach out to those who might not otherwise know we are here to make a difference.”

Mary Kay Owen, Marketing Director at Exton Square Mall, puts it simply, “It’s always wonderful to spend the morning appreciating the innocence of children right in the heart of the Christmas Season.”

West Chester Area Day Care Center Executive Director Betsy Billie was excited about the event. “We are so grateful that our families from The West Chester Area Day Care Center were given this opportunity to share a breakfast with their children and Santa and his elves! Everyone had such a good time and are so appreciative for the time and effort that was spent on them! Thank you for bringing such joy and for truly making a difference!”
